Is there a way to transfer ownership of a property out of an LLC that you own 50% into solely your name without paying any transfer taxes?

I avoided transfer taxes when transferring from myself to my 100% LLC, but I think that was a special grace period after the law changed. That grace period is likely expired. I seem to remember that there are no exceptions for transfers where ownership is less than 100%. My lawyer charged around $400 to do the paperwork, and he let me know all my options.
