State specific lease
I have my first rental property under contract and I have the forms that you get with @Brandon Turner's Book on Managing Rental Property. I was wondering if anyone had any state specific lease agreements they would be willing to share. Also curious to see rental applications that you guys may be using.
1. Google state rental agreement for whatever state you're looking for... there are tons out there for free
2. Check with your realtor to see if they have either of these things... they usually have a few options of each
3. Don't cheap out on the screening... use a service that you have to pay for.
Thanks Timothy Guidroz I'll check that out and it will give me a reason to get out there and get a La Mex from Pizza Place.
@Shaun R. I would go the digital route for your application, there are a ton of benefits there, easy to manage, integrated with screening reports, no retyping tenant info into your database or to pull reports, plus it's usually way easier for tenants to fill out. I know a lot of my tenants claim they don't have a printer, so I used to end up printing them out and delivering them to the tenant, which was a big time suck. With online you can just forward a link and they can apply from their phone.
