Should I save money first before I buy my first home?

I haven't purchased a home yet I'm still researching and learning as much as I can before I go out to buy a house. Should I save up for a house, I don't really make alot of money nor do I have much to any in my bank no credit I'm 19 tired of working a 9 to 5 but I'm willing and going to work my *** off for this I just need some more knowledge to implement.
