Credit Score Plan - Just Take The Hit?

I'm not sure how to go about this without completely wrecking my credit score, but maybe it's worth the hit? I have two goals to increase my access to available cash/credit:

1. Refinance my car loan (this would bring my car payment from $287 down to $111)

2. Extend the credit limit on my current credit card

Should I just go ahead and do both of these at the same time and just take the big hit on my credit score or spread them out? If I spread them out, how long would I wait?
