Rolled vs shingle roof material

Group- happy Saturday and looking to find out the superior material for a roof rental. The roofer is pushing to install a rolled roof and I originally requested shingles. Which material would you have less leaks, challenges with insurance coverage, longer lifetime? Your input is greatly appreciated and thank you!
