Unknown owner of residential home

There is a home near me that has been unoccupied for several years. The most recent facts that I am made aware of is that it was made for sale by a realty group that eventually put the home up for bid in november 2020 but no bids were ever made. Apparently a property management group now currently owns it but when my realtor has tried to contact them via email/call there has been no reply. She is sending a direct letter to them in hope there will be a reply. Has this situation ever happened to anyone else?
