Is it legal to short term rental is Las Vegas? So many sources say yes and no.

Also, can you have any vacation rentals on the strip? And which buildings can you, if you know?

The STRs you see in Las Vegas are mostly illegal.  If they catch you it's a steep fine.

  1. Unincorporated Clark County: It’s illegal, period.
  2. City of Las Vegas: It became almost impossible, unless you are an owner occupier
  3. City of North Las Vegas: Restrictions but doable. It’s just a bit far away from the strip so the occupancy rate may not be as high.
  4. Henderson is getting stricter as well.
