Becoming a real estate agent

What are your thoughts on becoming a real estate agents in the Saint Pete Florida area, I am 18 years old and I am contemplating if that would be a good career to get involved in,I am a very and ambitious and hard worker, also What are some good brokers to work under? and also if anyone has advice I would greatly appreciate it. I am also looking for some mentors that could show me the way so to speak, I believe I could have great success in real estate but I need guidance, thanks and God bless.
