Renovate a 1948 Home - May Involve Gutting of Interior

Posted

I am looking for estimates/information regarding a 1948 home that needs renovation. It is located in Western Pennsylvania and has not been gutted in the interior.  It is brick exterior with casement window and has water damage beside the windows (interior plaster is flaking/bulging). I don’t think wiring or plumbing has been updated/replace. It has had a leak from an upstairs toilet that impacted the living room area. Unsure of existence of asbestos wiring, lead paint - the interior seems to be plaster walls with hardwood floors. The windows do not have painted casements. Cost for such a renovation is a huge concern for me. I am also very concerned with environmental factors inside the home due to the known water damage. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
