Solar panels on investment property
Has anyone considered adding solar panels in a rehab project? Planning to house hack in Fort Worth, TX and I'm considering this to go green and possibly see a ROI buy putting energy back onto the grid.

I've done about a dozen rehabs that included solar. It's definitely a selling point that adds value in my market (as long as the system is owned, not leased). If you're living in the property, that makes it easier to claim the tax credit. I worked in solar for ~15 years before transitioning into RE, feel free to hit me up with any questions. I would recommend having a few local installation companies come out to give you bids, or talk to @Andrew Smith, who still sells systems on the daily. Best, Steve
