Gurus: The Best Breakdown I've Seen Thus Far
There has, unfortunately, been a major return of the real estate gurus during the past couple of years (which I wrote about here a while back, and yes, caveat: their are some good coaches and trainers who give good info for a reasonable price). They had mostly gone away after the crash and with the rise of BiggerPockets, I had hoped most would be gone for good. While BP has provided a low-cost (or no cost) way to learn real estate, it hasn't completely rid of us of the guru unfortunately.
I would highly recommend checking out this video by James Jani about the Internet gurus. There are many types, real estate only being one. But they aren't generally selling real estate education (or anything else) but the dream of becoming rich. It's really quite sick.
Here's the video, it's very well made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9Gpr7PEnbs
