Repairs for a really beat up house with no foundation
Hi I just started to look at this property in Pittsburgh PA northside and I think the house is really cute it would be perfect for myself but it’s really beat up.. I’m fine with doing a total renovation especially since I can get the house for under 5k but there’s something with the upstairs which is like small one room attic kind of which is like dipping down and the room is kind of looking like it’s tilting sideways.. u can see it from outside as well.. I checked the room to see if there was any water damage. And too my surprise there was no holes or water damage and the roof seemed to be in tact for the most part.. so I’m curious what this issue is and how I can fix it.. I’m guessing it has something to do with the framing.. the house is probably about 100-120 years old cause all the properties around it were built in the mid to late 1800s. But the house doesn’t have a basement either which in a traditional house with a basement you’d assume it’s the foundation but this one is just on a concrete slab I believe.. but if anyone knows any information on what it’s called or what’s happening to the house please let me know.. I can send u pictures of it too if u would like to see it for yourself.. thank you!
