Red flag! Nothing is free, need some help
I'm contracted on a group of single family properties and the seller wants to deed me over a free lot. There will not be a lawyer involved so it wont go through any "red tape". She wants to just give me a free lot and says that there is nothing to be worried about and I cannot get the address of this lot from her. She said she is about to mail me something to sign to get the lot but I dont want to fall into some kind of trap. What do I need to look for to make sure that it is in fact a free lot with no strings attached.

First off DONT SIGN ANYTHING until you have all the information on this piece of property. Second go get a title report on the property. That should be able to tell you a lot about the property, especially if there are any liens against. Lastly, I dont trust her "free lot". She has ulterior motives for sure.
