Solar Panels On A Rental

Hey guys , I’ve never heard anyone mention this and I was wondering if there was a reason why. How come landlords that own rental properties don’t put solar panels on the roof to get the tax credit and also save the tenants money $$ or maybe an incentive for new tenants to move in since they usually pay electric? Thanks guys
