Roth/Traditional IRA Question

Jason Bouck
Posted

So when I left one of my employers, they notified me that they moved my funds into a traditional IRA account (this was before I knew anything about retirement and financial education). As I found out how important retirement was I opened up a Roth IRA account though Vanguard last year.

I then transferred my Traditional IRA over to a Traditional IRA to my Vanguard account. I'm asking for all your opinions, should I move all my funds from my traditional IRA to my Roth IRA or should I keep the two separate accounts as is.

Reason why I ask is because I am not sure if it is beneficial to move all my funds to my Roth IRA (where my salary is less than the limit Roth IRA limits you to) or keep my traditional IRA as is (because I know in my future I will be making well over the Roth IRA limit).

Thank you!

Jason
