Is Network Marketing worth it?

Hello everyone, I have some question you could really answer and hopefully clear some doubts in my mind. I recently went to a meeting of Network Marketing, and there is a company that is patnering with Amway. From I have heard this type of networking is considered “Pyramid “  and is illegal by many. But from what I have read it doesn’t seem that way at all. I meet with some people that they talked and gave a few audios about mindset, also to read a book from Kiyosaki’s “The bussiness of the 21 First Century”  and they also said I have to go to meetings like every week, for about 3 hours, pay 5 bucks, go to other meeting once a month and pay $15 a month. And to go to an annual conference with the most  “successful people” in the business of Network Marketing that it would cost about $115. They told me they do all of this to prove my accountability, patience, build trust and being serious about opportunities. Lastly, they said it could take me from 6 to 18 months to get an extra income of about 50,000 a year,  and it would take about 10 to 15 hours a week of my time after work, which So far I don’t know if I want to sacrifice form learning real state investing. I would like to get opinions and perspective. Is this a whole new world of business? It’s gonna help me build relationships with new people so I can benefit for patnership into my real state investing dream? It’s a scam? It’s worth the money and my time? I would really appreciate your most honest replies on this. This is the only place I trust and ask for help and guidance, since there’s many people out there who just want your money without providing real value. Thank you in advance! 🙏🏼
