The BP Conference - who's planning on going?
Hello BP!
Just a quick poll - How many of you out there are planning on attending?
If you haven't bought your tickets, i'd be curious to know what would you say is holding you back?
Look forward to seeing your responses . . .
AG
Greg Brister That's hard to beat!
For those of you more experienced travelers, is it better to wait until the date gets closer for prices to drop? I've read that this is a common strategy. However, I would've guessed that given it's around spring break time to a ski destination, that prices will not go down but possibly go up.
Thanks Joshua Dorkin I will do that.
I am booked for my flight to arrive in Denver at 4:30 Denver Time on Thursday 22nd along with a fellow traveler. We are flying Southwest and the roundtrip was only $280!
It appears that several people are arriving the day before which is great, we can all hook up for some pre-parties, drinks, and RE discussion. I am looking forward to it.
If anyone will be arriving in Denver on the 22nd at or around 4:30, let me know, I am arranging transportation to the hotel in style! Send me an email, PM or post here.

Will Barnard - If you're looking for a car service, we use one called "Top Colorado Express" - Just call Kindu at 720-404-8020 and let him know that you're calling at my recommendation. It is a car service that we've used for years now and they are awesome!
My wife and I will be arriving Wednesday afternoon around three o'clock. We do have a car rented and hope that it won't be typical, miserable snowy weather! We plan on attending the Denver auto show that evening and leaving Thursday open for meeting with BP members and getting together that evening. Looking forward to the conference and hope to see all of you there. We'll be flying in from Phoenix and I believe the round trip was just under $170 per person on US Airways. We will be flying back home Sunday evening. That will leave us all day Thursday and most of the day Sunday to do non-seminar things and visit with BP members but we only know by name. Rich

In terms of rankings, here's where it falls:
1 - Phoenix, Arizona
2 - Las Vegas, Nevada
3 - Sacramento, California
4 - Los Angeles, California
5 - Miami, Florida
6 - Denver, Colorado
I know that you had a bad experience back in the day, but the "typical" weather here is plenty of sun.
It could certainly snow, but you're giving people the impression that it is always cold, snowy and miserable here, which is far from the truth.
We're currently having a pretty average year, and temps for the next 5 days are: 57, 41, 49, 40, and 54 -- and yes, we are in the depths of January.
Here's a chart showing average Denver temps.
I hope the above helps anyone who might have some concerns about the weather here.
Joshua Dorkin, you might consider posting a list of paid attendees and contact numbers so people can coordinate meetings. This list could be made private with permissions allowed only for paid attendees. That way we could all coordinate who is going where.
I like Gregs' suggestion. What do you think? Rich

Greg B. and Rich Weese - Giving out our attendance list - even if only to other attendees, would be a privacy issue; it would be impractical for us to seek the permission of all those people seeking to attend.
If people want to announce that they will be at the event, that's perfectly fine, but we simply can't publish the attendee list.
Perhaps someone can start a thread for those people attending, and anyone who wants to share that they will be there can do so?
I just registered for the conference, excited to go!

Joshua Dorkin - We are coming - obvious when you look at the speakers list. BUT, we are also planning a couple of events around coming out there.
1. We are inviting our clients from Colorado and around the country to come and rub elbows with other investors and we are going to do a dinner one night with any of them that attend. We just announced it in our newsletter so we'll see what that number looks like.
2. We are hosting our next Mastermind meeting that week in Denver. We are going to use the same hotel (i'll get with you on details) and all of those companies from different markets around the country are coming to meet there on Thursday before the summit. Then they are staying to attend the Summit on Friday and Saturday and see for themselves all the positives I have been sharing about BP.
It seemed like the perfect venue and opportunity to host both the Mastermind meetings and our clients. Looking forward to that weekend and spending a few days back in Colorado!

OK guys, I am in the process of assembling a contact list so that we can coordinate who is going to be where and when. I have been to several of these types of events and things change rapidly outside of the organized activities. I am putting the list on an excel document. If you would like to be included on the list please email me your name, email address, and phone number. I will send you a copy of the list by email. I will not publish the list on the internet.
My email address is below in my signature. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
PS: It would be best if the phone number is a cell phone for quicker reactions at the BP summit.
Might this be a good use of a Google Doc? Greg, you could share the Gdoc with anyone who sends you an email requesting it, and they could add their contact info. That way everyone gets all the additions without you having to send a ton of extra emails. Just a thought.
Either way, just sent you my contact info.
Great idea Jake.
Jake Kucheck - by the way, loks like we have our ride from airport to hotel Thursday! I will email details next week.
Guys,
I can't believe the conference is only 5 weeks away!!
Has anyone finalized plans for Thursday night?
AG
All booked. Flying in at 11pm Thursday and leaving 6pm Sunday. I look forward to meeting many of you.

Just a head's up . . . we'll be announcing the finalized schedule in the coming days . . . stay tuned.
I'm arriving wed afternoon and hitting the Auto Show that night. Thursday is open to meet with BP members that I've chatted with. Rich
PS Is today one of those 300 sunny days. I think you have a cold one coming! There is snow in the foothills where I live- and that doesn't happen!
I'm on call for jury duty for federal court. I'll assume those that are going to the summit are not a party on the docket ;-)
Assuming I can get a continuance from the judge, I will be arriving Thurs around noon.
07:45AM Phoenix, AZ (PHX) to
10:30AM Denver, CO (DEN)
Looks like I'll be arriving via Southwest airlines # 301 about 1030 am on Thursday. If anyone else is flying in close to that time and wants to split a cab or limo to the hotel, hit me up. I'm on Greg B.'s contact list.
Antone coming in on wed afternoon? I have a car and would haul you to Hotel. Rich
Bought my tickets today. I find 6 weeks out is usually the best time.
Flying in Tuesday and out Sunday. Plan on seeing some old friends and our old stomping grounds.
Will be at the hotel by Thursday afternoon. Would love to hang out and meet everyone in person instead of just reading your posts!
