home watch service

wondering if anyone here has started a 'home watch' type service--whereby you "caretake" a home in the absence of the owner. i live in an area where vacation properties exist, and curious about whether a home watch business in my area could be successful. what would be the best way to research to learn this answer, and the best ways to market this type of business? (i have visited the national home watch website, and see that most states only have one, two, or just a few home watch services represented).
