And if so, are you ready to protect your properties located in urban areas. Like these so-callled "nicer" neighborhoods of detroit, cleveland, memphis, atlanta, philedephia...etc. You know, the ones within marching distance of the "hood".
Couldn't happen? I'm old enough to remember the 1967 riots. A whole new generation of entitlement babies have been spawned. And they are NOT going to be happy when "Big Daddy" cuts back on theie handouts. When it becomes apparent that there really ain't no "Obama money".
Maybe there will a resurgence in the popularity of smaller or medium sized town. Towns where there are shot guns and hunting rifles loaded and ready for such nonsense and cry babies and looters.

We are probably just a couple of years away. Think about all of the bueacracy that needs to be cut from govenment with duplicate jobs etc. When someone with the cajonies gets in there to do something. It ain't going to be pretty at first.

The gap is growing Phillip...so I think civil unrest is very likely at some point. I do think the economy is getting better for many though.
The likelihood of small towns making a comeback is small IMO. People are being employed more and more by first world technology companies...and they don't set up shop in small towns. They flock to talent centers like Austin.

We are getting to the same situations as Greece, Spain, england etc. They've all had the riots and some continue to. Why should we be any different. Look at WI problems just for trying to implemant financially sound principles. This is one of the reasons I just moved to a smaller town in UT that is over 100 miles from a big metropolis mess. I don't remember the London riots being in any small rural towns either. The big cities seem to attract those types in droves. Rich

All very predictable when you have multiple generations now growing up with an entitlement mentality.
They're not going to go quietly, and there will be plenty of socialist demogogues to fan the flames.
Infrastruction programs? Hey, there is an idea. How about offering able bodied welfare recipients jobs working on these programs IN EXCHANGE FOR THEIR CURRENT WELFARE PAYMENTS?
Another idea. Let them have the jobs that illegal aliens are doing now? The jobs no american are willing to do, as some are fond of saying.
Oh, and to be fair, means test all entitlement programs. That will cover the many middle class entitlements. Corporate welfare too.
Gotta change that word "entitlement". Are they really?
