Do (SEC Regulated) Funds Start With Assets Already Owned?
Sort of an off-topic question here as I know you guys are pretty smart. Do investment funds like hedge funds and the like open with assets already owned? Or is it typical for a investment fund to open and solicit monies from investors before it actually acquires any assets (outside of the monies invested in it)?
