SGS Alternate Unemployment Rate – Approaching 23%
Shadowstats is now reporting the real unemployment rate near 23% per the chart here:
To my surprise the number is still inching up a bit. This can’t be attributed to workers coming back into the market because this measurement includes unemployed and underemployed folks along with discouraged workers.
Do you guys think this is the worst of it or will the number keep rising?
