Average cost of roof repair in Albuquerque?

I'm looking at purchasing a property that needs a new roof. I'm new to real estate investing and don't have a good idea of how much this will cost. Have any of you repaired a roof recently? What is the average cost for this work in Albuquerque? Also, can tenants live in the property while the roof is being repaired?

Thanks in advance!

@Marian Smith yes, my roofer used a rigid foam product that was pre-fabbed to produce the desired slope; you can search generically for "tapered roofing insulation" and should find suppliers in your area.

@Mark Hughes brings up a good point too - the cost of the roof is *generally* depreciated like the life of the building, 27.5 years for residential...if i understand correctly that means if you spend $k on a roof replacement this tax year, you start a new depreciation schedule for the next 27.5 years.
