Educating the youth of America - high school finance class

I'm not exactly sure where to put this .  In college I had a professor who said "today we are not going to learn anything related to the subject and it will be the most important thing you learn in this class and probably you college education".  He was right.  He gave us some basic info on IRAs and Roth IRAs and pointed us in the right direction.  Up until that point I had probably never heard or at least understood that terminology and I majored in business.  We do a very poor job of educating our youth in finance.

Fast forward to current day...  I am a high school teacher and the kids enthusiastically want me to take a day and teach them a bit of what I know, and I have of course agreed.  I have some ideas, but really I teach Spanish.  I'd love ideas of what to make sure to mention to students and if anyone has any resources that upper level high school students would be able to understand I'd love that too.  I really want to do the best job I can, but I have so little time between teaching and my 9 rentals.

Some things I definitely plan to touch on:

IRAs, Roth IRAs,

Compound interest

Rule of 72 and the idea of starting early

Real Estate as an investment (but I don't want that to necessarily be the focus.  It's what I love but there are many forms of financial intelligence and investing).

Some of the ideas found in "The Millionaire Next Door" such as self made millionaires, living below your means, etc

Ideas in cash flow quadrant by Kiyosaki

Thanks in advance for any ideas/resources!
