Thank you Police Officers!
To all police officers who are either Bigger Pockets members or may come by and view this, I want to give you a well deserved thank you.
Thank you for putting your lives on the line every day to maintain order in our society.
Thank you for dealing with the worst of society so that we don't have to.
Thank you for evicting dangerous tenants for us.
Thank you making sure we're ok when our car breaks down on the side of the road.
Thank you for being on call 24/7 in case a weather event puts our lives in danger.
Thank you for doing this and more for far less money than you deserve.

It's capitalism...they get paid what the market will bear.
While I certainly respect and appreciate good law officers, it is far from the most dangerous job in this country. In fact, I don't believe it's even in the top 10.
Not to mention, of the more dangerous jobs, many have lower average salary, including coal miners, loggers, roofers, and electrical pole workers -- all honorable and tremendously important jobs in our society.
But, like law enforcement, while we may believe that these workers are underpaid, from a capitalist standpoint, they aren't at all underpaid (by definition)...
Btw, the cops I know (my family members, for example) will tell you that they don't do it for the money...if it was just about money, they'd be doing something more lucrative...
