Seller violated his contract.
Hello,
I am a REALTOR in Norfolk VA. For the first time I have had a seller violate their contract. My broker is having me notify the seller that by violating the contract the seller must pay the commission. If they do not pay it my broker says we will put a lien on the house.
My question is this:
"How does this process go?"
And a follow up question:
"Is it worth potentially hurting the brokerage/my reputation?"
Thanks all!
