Cabinet problem in new house!

Hi, I bought a new house from one of the local house owners here in Ontario. I got it through a real estate broker and he made it a legitimate deal for me. I felt really lucky that it was really a fair deal. The house seems to be really new when I had the first look. On clear inspection, I found the kitchen cabinets to be damaged and I couldn’t use it. I don’t know how to deal with this, whether to do it by myself or to contact a custom cabinet professional in Toronto . I always loved a center island in my kitchen and would like to do a modern cabinet, as this would be the place where I spend most of my time. Inviting replies with creative ideas to do my kitchen cabinet.
