For the last several months I've been noticing that plenty of businesses are offering discounts if you JUST ASK.

For instance:
I just got off the phone with my Yellow Page account complaining that the rates had gone up 10% over last year and asked if they could do anything. They discounted my rate to what I was paying three years ago!

Earlier today I called my LLC brokerage account asking if they could do anything about some regular business fees they charged me. BOOM - GONE!

Last week my girlfriend was buying something in the auto parts store and asked the clerk, "You'll give me 20% off this, right?" He said the best he could do was 15% !

The interior trim carpenter I hired last month for some custom work told me he charges $30/hour. I asked if he could do better and he said, "How about $11/hour?" BOOM - YOU'RE HIRED.

I could go on but you get the idea -- smart businesses are offering discount incentives for your money if you JUST ASK.
