We went into business flipping with my brother as investor, and with him over the past year we have closed 3 houses with one in construction phase right now. (We have two other investors too) We have made him $37,000 in profits in less than one year with about $170,000 out at a time. Tonight we just got in a big fight and I said let's be done with it. Maybe there could have been a way to resolve it but now it's over. We were fighting because he offered us a business proposal in which he takes over 75% ownership, leaving us with 25% ownership and gives us $50,000 annual salary but we would give him title of CFO for the purpose of him taking on the responsibility of finding investors. So profit sharing would be him 75% us 25%. Am I crazy or does this sound like a crappy plan? If we are doing all the work and all he is doing is finding investors and finding a way to give us a salary? I was mainly mad that my name was left off the proposal completely I guess because I am married to my business partner, only his name needs to go on things? It's a long story! Do you guys have to kiss *** constantly with investors to maintain your relationship? He made me feel awful since he feels he has bent over backwards to give us this money. But we're the ones working hard day in and day out to make him money. And we have made him a lot of money! I'm not sure if there is a better app or Facebook page to vent on about this stuff, let me know if this is an inappropriate use of this website!
