Snowing in Las Vegas
I know that those of you who choose to live in the snowbelt wouldn’t think much of it, but Las Vegas is experiencing a mini-blizzard. On Monday we had the first measurable snowfall in five years with about 2†piling up. Today we have a real snowstorm, just like the ones that made me leave New York. It has been snowing for about 4 hours now and is expected to continue for another 8! Accumulation is expected to be anywhere from 6†to over a foot in some areas with higher elevation. However, Vegas has no snowplows neither does McCarran airport, which is now closed. Schools will probably have their first snow day since 1979! I would be shoveling except that I don’t have a snow shovel. I never thought that I would be snowed in here in Las Vegas!!!!
