Random financing proposal

So I received a "financing proposal" from someone who retrieved my email via BP, stating they are willing to provide a personal or business loan for any startups, flips, expansions, rehabs, etc. I was not on BP asking for private funding. On all of my forum posts its quite clear that Im as new as they come and I have yet to close on my first deal. It struck me as odd someone would be willing to just "loan" me funds. I have not and do not plan on responding but was wondering if this has happened to any other BP's. Is this some sort of scam? Id hate for some bright eyed newbie to jump on an opportunity that could potentially be a scam....tsk tsk scary scary
