Where The Real Movement Is Within The Top 1%
I found this article the other day and thought it was worth sharing:

There has been a heightened interest in the top 1% and how they're fairing relative to the rest of the population of late in the aftermath of all of the media coverage about it several years ago.
What is interesting to me is that very few people realize how different the top 10% of the top 1% is from the lower 90% of the same range. An even starker contrast is between the top 1% of the top 1% and the next 9% of the top 1%.
Studies like this are often loaded and I wonder how the analysis would change if you look at wealth differentials over the same time period. Many of the wealthy folks have paper gains without corresponding "income" to show in the charts.
Anyway.....I thought this was interesting and worth sharing. Thoughts and feedback are welcome.
