It is that time of year when everyone seems to think about giving (and wrapping things up for yearend). So I want to know what have you done to give back, to have made the world a better place. I can argue that us in real estate change the world everytime we close a deal or sign a lease (or make an eviction), hopefully these are for the better. But I want to know examples and explain why this is about to become more important.

I do fall into the group of millennials, but we invest back to better things. A report by forbes says 81% of millennials have donated things some even despite having a job, or being underemployed. When you couple this with the report by Cnbc that the largest wealth transfer is happening to the tune of 30 Trillion (you read that), I believe soon our pool of lenders will not only be asking about rates of return but at what social investing have we done.In 2010 Maryland made the first B Corp (you can read below but its is in short a hybrid of nonprofit and for profit company) approx 20 states either do or soon will allow these.

So to us who have done this share a little of your sorry and what you would have done differently. I don

@Jeremy Tillotson Thanks for starting this thread.  It is good to remember while we work through our daily problems how fortunate we are and and to give back.

I hope one day to reach the point where I can give back frequently and generously to improve my community and help people who need a step up to become self sufficient.
