are there any direct selling items that are not scams?

so I came across a significant number of what I would call scams. Every time I have come across said companies they usually have a hush hush ness to them and usually have meetings in weird places and start off by saying well what you do not want to say is this and this is usually the truth. I had the pleasure of ruining a meeting also and the person who invited me was told to not invite me back because scam artist don't appreciat you calling them out in front of a large group of people.

You mean MLMs? Some aren't "scams" in that they sell reasonable products at reasonable prices. Like Mary Kay. But they all focus on "building your downlines" as much as selling their products.
