SBA loan when remainderman on life estate deed
Good Evening all,
My mother-in-law wants to take an SBA loan. She placed my wife and my wife's siblings as remaindermen on a life estate deed on my mother-in-laws home. My mother-in-law is saying that my wife needs to sign off on the loan. We understand that but frankly we are extremly reluctant to ablidge. We don't believe in co-signing for anyone.
My main question is, as my wife is a remainderman, will she be giving permission for her mother to get the loan or will she be co-signing the loan?
Any help is appreciated. Please let me know if you need more info to create a clearer picture.
Thank you.
