Lawsuit Regarding Jackson County, MO (Kansas City) Property Tax Increases

Turns out, as we all expected, the law wasn't followed at all regarding the gouging tax increases last year. Maybe this state lawsuit will actually get something done (although I kind of doubt it given how previous lawsuits have gone).

Also, interesting how while everyone else was getting gouged, County Executive Frank White and County Tax Assessor Gail McCann Beatty saw very modest increases. I'm sure that's just a coincidence though... 🙄

Unfortunately Jackson county executives are in over their head. Leadership does not know what they are doing and they are understaffed. There is no excuse from this in one of the most populous counties in the entire state.
