Real Estate Firm Controller

I have been a Controller and Finance professional at a large finanical institution for a long time.  It has allowed me to provide for my family and invest in real estate (small multi-family).  While I have a solid Accounting/Finance background, I am considering looking for a Controller position at a Real Estate firm to deepen my knowledge in the field and gain insight into how larger RE firms operate.  If anyone is a Real Estate Controller or has recommendations for resources to be successful in this field, I would love to chat.  Thank you and I appreciate your feedback.
