I've been locked out of FB (Meta) . Can anyone help me?

I know this is a bit random but I have tried EVERYTHING.  My FB account was hacked about a year ago.  I really don't use it much so I didn't care.  Plus it became locked so I knew it was safe from whoever was trying to hack.  But now, I want to get on for the groups.  BiggerPockets Fans, first and foremost.

I've gone through the automated "help".  Yes, I've looked in Spam. I've even re-purchased a domain that I no longer use bc it is where the email address that I'm using for second tier authentication is.  I put a .forward on that address to my main one.  Tested, and it works (the .forward) but I still am not getting the code that they are sending so I can unlock.  Are there restrictions with a .forward?
