Do you provide lawn mowers?
I’ve got 14 rentals and have never bought or even considered buying my tenants lawnmowers. Someone on another forum was calling landlords cheap if they didn’t provide them. And that all landlords should. I would say almost half my tenants come from apartments and didn’t have lawnmowers when they moved in. Do you guys provide lawnmowers for your tenants? I just tell them the yard is their responsibility when they move in. I had to remind a few tenants in the past to cut their grass when it got too long, but never bought them a lawnmower. Now I might have to reconsider if this is the norm? I don’t provide washer and dryers either.

Hey @John Morgan, I have never bought or considered buying my tenants a lawnmower either, and I don't know any landlords that do. I'm sure some may leave a spare one laying around for the tenants if they have it, but by no means would I call a landlord who doesn't leave their tenants a lawnmower "cheap" or say that all should provide one. The way you are handling it is the norm, at least in my experience. Washers and dryers are a different story though.
