Solar… would you do it?
Anybody interested in putting solar on their rentals, just bought into a solar company and I think this may be a good move.

No. It's a highly overrated move to make right now. Too expensive. And to do it right, you really need to install battery backup as well or you only make money/power while the sun shines. And of course, it doesn't work a many locales, certainly not year-round.
Unless (as was said) you are into the green is groovy mindset, then go for it, but it's not really a money maker at this time. I bet it will be at some point down the road though....
I say this as a guy who has installed solar (myself) on one of our places to make an off-grid getaway, so I'm not anti-solar, just pro common sense.
