New to real estate investing

Jason Cooper
Posted

Hi!!! My name is Jason out of Anderson, IN. My wife and I are new to real estate investing...we are planning to purchase our 1st home via the tax sale in April. We both have full time jobs and are looking to buy and hold, so that we may eventually have a decent passive income. I was just wanting to maybe see if someone would have any tips, tricks, or things that we should know before we purchase our 1st rental property. We have and continue to do research on BiggerPockets and other real estate podcasts and websites.  We would like to thank any and all of you for any info you are willing to share.

Thanks, Jason

@Jason Cooper Hi Jason - Like you and your wife, I'm starting out as well with goals to purchase enough buy-and-hold properties to retire from my W2 job. Great credit score, cash reserves and networking/building your team are what I've learned to be most important starting out. Hope this helps and best of luck to you!
