real estate license questions and ideas

I am a real estate investor with a focus on multifamily 5+ rental units.  With the commissions being paid on these sort of deals being substantial,  I am considering my real estate license.   I imagine other members have wrestled with this question after several deals.   Do you guys have thoughts you could offer,  including personal experience,  specifics and ideas on where to hang the license.   G.
