Newbie in NYC or Atlanta? What groups have you attended?

Hello forumers,

I'm educating myself about RE investment and deal analysis. Have attended a few meetings and they are often run like bad infomercials. Either the speaker is pushing offering a product (RE analysis software) or overpriced club meetings "conferences" that would be very helpful drown most newbies.

My need is simple. A Real Estate Investment Group, either existing or let's form one, that meets regularly (biweekly or monthly) and discusses current investing trends, strategies and etc.

A FINAL NOTE: I would love RE deal pitch practice (i.e. calling a loss mitigation dept or FSBO listing) as well.

I don't see these very often and how you speak (posture, tone and etc) is very important in closing deals and forming relationships.

What are your ideas on the best format for a group?

Are you already a member of one? If so, please let us all know when/where it meets.

Cheers,

David
