Re-locating to Sarasota, how's the rental market area here?

Hello BP as stated I am planning to relocate to the Sarasota FL due to a job transfer and would love your help. I am currently looking into investing in a distressed property to build equity into it for a buy and hold. In your experience which areas currently are the best to look into. I do not want to invest in D-type neighborhoods. I would prefer C/B with decent schools and decent cash flow. My biggest challenge is knowing what area to invest in and the kind of properties I should be looking into Single, Multi's, Condo's, townhomes? I am coming from NJ where pretty much you could find 2-4 units ANYWHERE. I would greatly appreciate any kind of feedback and would also welcome the opportunity to connect with anyone from the area.
