Two units one is homesteaded, is the whole property protected?
Hi all. A Florida property that's zoned mixed use residential/commercial has two units, one unit is an apartment/residence, the other unit is rented to a business. County appraiser office says the apartment can be homesteaded. If the apartment is homesteaded (for its value), does the whole property/full value of the property come under the protection of homestead laws? Such as protection from forced sale by a creditor? Thanks.
