Flip Wars Is So Off Base

Been watching Flip Wars and boy o' boy is the fake shining through.  The auction scenes just can't be real.  First, where is everybody else?  Here in Volusia County all the auctions are done on-line.  I can't believe south Florida is so behind the times that they actually hold auctions in public for an entire region (from Fort Lauderdale to Sarasota - how many different counties is that?) at the same amphitheater ;)

But even more so, I can't get over the roofing prices.  Replace an entire roof including underlayment and facia/soffit repair on an 1800 sf home near the ocean for 13k?  More like 23k!

Your thoughts?

I paid $4,500 for a brand new shingle roof on a 1,000 sq ft house near Houston, windstorm certified and signed off by an engineer.  Learn to cut out the middleman contractors and source direct to the laborers.
