Interested in Port Richey but seeking input on the area.

Hello Everyone,

I am currently under contract to purchase a property in Port Richey (on Gray Fox Lane). I read here to stay away from flood zones in the area. Could anyone please tell me if this area is safe?

I'd also like to ask how is the neighborhood. I am planning on renting for a year until I move there. Is it a rentable location?

Thank you so much,

France.

I live here. I've worked and lived in west pasco for 15 years. Certain areas are flood and some are not.If the home is in a flood zone i suggest you purchase flood insurance. Florida is a "comparative negligence" state. Ask your insurance agent or attorney.
Also, if there is a total loss it is possible to collect on both policies, or only to receive partial payment depending on what caused damage.
