Hi BP!

My husband Derrick and I have flipped two owner occupied homes and generated over $100,000 in profit. The first house was mostly sweat equity (yes, we’re still married 😉), and we learned a ton. We had no idea what we were doing, but grew to love real estate through it and want to take investing to the next level with a focus on buy and holds to gain cashflow, and flips to grow the business.

We sold our last flip in April, 2017 and are working on renovating our home we plan to settle in and watch our 11 month old son grow. He’s our motivation – we want to build generational wealth for our family.

Up until now, I’ve been stalking the forums and absorbing the wealth of knowledge on this site. Thank you for the foundational as well as continuing education available here. Between the forums, podcasts, and beginners guide, I feel ready to move to the next step – figuring out financing and shopping for a property.

Our purpose in joining BP is to correspond with likeminded individuals who made their goals a reality. You guys and gals are so inspiring! We are totally aware that this is not an overnight thing, and have enjoyed the journey that got us here. Looking forward to working hard and picking up the pace from a walk to a run!

So first newbie question: In researching lending options I’d like to connect with Portfolio lenders in the Pensacola, FL area we can establish a long term relationship with. Has anyone had success with a portfolio lender they’d recommend? We are both W2 earners with credit scores above 750. For the first meeting, I plan to provide our financial snapshot, summary of successful flips, and business plan. Any other information you would recommend bringing to a meeting with a lender?

Thank you so much!
