Pool Cage - Return on Investment

I own a house in Clearwater Florida.  I was planning to stay for a while, but it looks like I will probably be leaving in less than a year.  My question is, does it make sense to put up a pool cage over the pool?  I have a HUGE oak tree that drops leaves in it all the time.  I was planning to put one up when I got the house, but not sure if its a good idea.  I am new to FL and I don't know what buyers are looking for.  My questions:

1. Will NOT having a pool cage make it harder to sell my house, for about the same that I paid for it last year?

2.  If I put in a pool cage now, I have the cash, it will be about 15k, can I list the house for 15k more and reasonably expect to get the money back?  My first thought was obviously not, so I did not put one up.  However, I have heard people say it will be a lot harder to sell the house.
