Hello everyone! Future RE Investor here :)

Hello all!

I'm Kevin, 29 years old, active US military currently serving overseas (Germany). I'm due to return/PCS back to live in the good old US of A in May 2014 and I intend to get started in RE investing right away.

Back in March of this year I was handed the book "Rich Dad Poor Dad", a book I had heard of that my wife picked up (out of the blue) from a local used book store. Oddly enough I remember someone, whom I can't remember, suggested I should read it years ago (of course I didn't listen at the time). I was blown away after reading that book. "There is no secret to becoming rich, just spend your life acquiring income producing assets." Robert Kiyosaki. His words almost knocked me out of my chair after I consumed the book in 2 nights of reading. Since then I have been on a REI book reading marathon. I read about 3 books a month on the subject, takes notes on every one, type them all up, and have built myself a large "Real Estate Investing Guide". Every day I do something to increase my knowledge, even if I just learn one thing a day I feel like I'm making progress.

I'm lucky too that my wife and I do not have any debt. No home loans, student loans, car loans, 0 credit card debt, NOTHING and its fantastic. So we will be entering REI with 0 debt. We both work and since were able to live completely on my pay alone, we are able so save 100% of my wife's income in our savings, building up multiple future down payments. So I like to think we are poised for a great start. I also feel very fortunate to have found this amazing web site and to be among so many brilliant and intelligent individuals. With my continued research and BP backing me up, I feel like nothing can stop me!

I have never been so excited about starting something as much as I am about getting into REI. I have some sales experience too which should help. I use to sell those Kirby vacuum cleaners and I worked for Brandon Ford in Tampa Florida as a car salesman (I know, they have bad reputations). I'm not shy by any means is the point.

Well I just wanted to introduce myself and say that I'm very happy to be a new member of this site. I wish you all the very best of luck in your real estate investing and I hope we can all help other to reach our goals.

Kevin
