New member looking to learn, start and grow in Dallas, TX

Hi everyone,

I am a new member who just joined and would like to get into real estate investing. My current job is a W-2 office job but I plan to start and grow my Real Estate investment portfolio so that I can quit my full-time job in the upcoming years. I've been doing research and reading resources offered from BP, books, and local REI meet-up events. I think I am in a position where I'm ready to look for a primary residence and planned to use it to house hack to start my way into real estate investing. Any bits of advice and tips on how to start my first deal is greatly appreciated.
